Local people may have a voice in the decisions and processes that impact product choices and service levels. Together with Pioneer will make things like home banking, home shopping, telecommuting, distance learning rings and virtual classrooms a reality. They will obtain service from local people with local knowledge of the community - people who know and understand the community not a 1-800 number connected to people across the country. And, when they pay their bill for services the money stays in town to the benefit of the community.

• Business Customers will also have a choice in their local service provider and access to advanced, integrated services. What’s more, they’ll now be able to attract and retain quality employees, while competing on a more level playing field with their urban rivals via Internet, wireless and high-speed data services.
New services will open opportunities for employees to commute to work via high-speed networks supporting a "work at home" environment.

• Communities, local utilities, or other entities can meet their customers’ demands for enhanced services and compete effectively against established providers by offering leading-edge technologies. They can make these services available under their own brand name without risking significant investment. Communities acting as the distributor can more effectively target new customers, while strengthening relationships with existing ones. In addition to creating new jobs for themselves and their communities, they will generate new revenue that can be used for community reinvestment.

• Rural Communities will be able to attract and retain new businesses and residents, while creating new job opportunities. In addition, education and healthcare services will be greatly enhanced through Internet access and high-speed data transmission capabilities. New revenue generated from distributors and businesses can be reinvested into the community to improve the community's infrastructure: schools, libraries, parks, roads and more.
